Privacy policy

We collect only what is needed to send you an order: your name, delivery address, phone number and your email address. We verify the email address with a six-digit code before an order is placed, so that an order cannot be put in somebody else's name.

The website stores your basket in your own browser. It reaches us only when you place the order.

Checkout offers an optional map pin, so a courier can find a house that is hard to describe in writing. It is entirely optional — nothing about your order changes if you skip it, and the shop is not told whether you did.

If you use it, we store the coordinates you pinned and nothing else. It is used to hand a map link to the courier delivering that parcel. We do not track your location at any other time, we do not keep a history of where you have been, and the pin is never shared beyond the delivery.

Card, UPI and netbanking payments are handled by Razorpay Software Private Limited, who are certified to the PCI DSS standard. You enter your card or UPI details on Razorpay's own secure form — they never pass through this website, and we never see or store them.

What we keep is the payment reference Razorpay gives us, the amount, and whether it succeeded. That is what lets us match a payment to your order and issue a refund if one is due.

This site uses cookies only where they are needed to work. There is one cookie for staying signed in to your order history, and one for the shop's own staff signing in to manage the shop. Razorpay sets its own cookies while you are paying, which is part of how it detects fraud.

Your basket is kept in your browser's local storage — on your device, not on our servers — so it survives a reload.

There are no advertising cookies, no analytics, and no third-party trackers on this site. Nothing here follows you to other websites, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.

We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

We do not store card, UPI or bank details at any point.

Order records are kept for as long as we are required to for tax and food-safety purposes. You can ask us to delete anything else at any time by writing to annapurnapicklesfoods@gmail.com.
